White Chapel Woods Nature Trail

This Saturday from 9am - noon we are having a trail clean up event at the new White Chapel Woods Nature Trail. This event is open to the public. Lunch will be provided. Park along the cemetery service road on the campus of St. Mary’s Whitechapel Episcopal Church.

Tasks include cleaning up the existing trail, lining it with fallen branches, spreading oak chips and trash pick up. I would rate this trail “easy”.

We will also do a walkabout to introduce and explore the boundaries of the Nature Trail and where future trails will be developed. Tromping through the woods is “moderate to difficult” terrain. Once it is developed it will probably be “easy to moderate”. Maps will be provided.

The next walkabout for NNMNs will be Saturday, November 26th, 9 am. Families are welcome for easy trails.

Dress for the field. Plan to wear orange. Bring work gloves, hand trimming tools. Wheel barrow, shovels and garden rakes will be provided.
