The Caterpillars Count In Person Training Time TBA

Northern Neck Master Naturalists have partnered with the University of North Carolina for a fourth season of Caterpillars Count. This citizen science activity measures seasonal variation and abundance of important food sources for birds.

NNMN volunteers survey native tree branches weekly from May through July at Belle Isle State Park. A team of three or four meet on Thursday mornings. The scheduling is flexible, allowing for other volunteer commitments. In person training will take place April 10th at the Belle Isle Visitors Center.
