Judy Thomas is a 2023 BTC graduate. Her "One Small Bite" research and presentation launched her into an in-depth study of galls, and we are excited to have her as our Inaugural Pop-up Presenter. Here is a little bit about her presentation:

 Galls and The Extended Phenotype.

We've all seen them, but what are they? Some of us know that insects make galls, but did you know they're also made by fungi, viruses, bacteria, small roundworms, and even other plants? Join chapter member Judy Thomas for a presentation on galls, their causes, structures, adaptive benefits, ecosystems, and many lovely gall photographs.
