Our Member General and Election Meeting is IN PERSON on Tuesday, November 1, 4:00 pm, at the Cat Point Lodge, Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge (RRVNWR). We will follow that with a potluck social. Please bring your own beverage and a dish to share. Anything goes--it is a Potluck!
As mentioned previously, the incoming and outgoing Board members will meet sometime soon after the election to begin the change-over. We need all outgoing Board members (officers and committee chairs) to prepare a turnover file for your successor. Because of Covid, I know many of us did not receive that when we came on board. PLEASE put together something so that we can continue with this in the future. If you were given a notebook, just add whatever information you have from your time in the position to that notebook. Our updated Operating Handbook has job descriptions for each office and committee. Please copy and include that in the turnover file, and add any additional information you think would be helpful to the new person. The Operating Handbook is in BI. On the Home page, on the right, is a listing for DOCUMENTS. The Operating Handbook is there.
