Plant a Tree and Celebrate Earth Day!

  • Belle Isle State Park 1632 Belle Isle Road Lancaster, VA, 22503 United States (map)

Looking to do some good this Earth Day? Join Belle Isle State Park and the Friends of the Rappahannock for a day of giving back. We'll be planting trees, provided by the Friends of the Rappahannock, along portions of the Neck Fields Loop trail to create habitat for the wildlife that call Belle Isle home. There are already a few Bald Eagle nests in this area, and creation of more habitat may invite more.

This event is limited to 25 participants, and registration is required. To register, please call the Park Office at (804) 462-5030, or send an email to belleisle@dcr.virginia.gov. Masks are required for the event, and social distance requirements will be maintained. We recommend wearing sturdy, close-toed shoes, long pants and sleeves, work gloves, and don't forgot your reusable water bottle. Tools will be provided.

Reaching the planting site will involve a 1 mile hike along flat trails, beginning in the Equestrian Parking Lot at 10 am.

Meet at the Equestrian parking lot.
